Support groups are facilitated by adoption competent professionals and are held monthly. Support groups are designed for new and experienced adoptive parents. Topics are generated by parents and focus on developing specialized parenting skills. For a full list of support group locations and times, please see the detailed schedule below. Childcare and training hours are available.

Additionally, each month REACH highlights several community based trainings of interest to foster and adoptive parents. Parent Training: A Guide to IEPs and the Special Education Process

Aspiranet REACH Post-Adoption has partnered with EPU Children’s Center to put on a workshop titled, A Guide to IEPs and the Special Education Process. This is a FREE workshop for families to learn more about what an IEP entails and how to navigate the special education process. It is a great opportunity to learn how you can be an advocate in your child’s education and to ask questions to IEP experts.

Child care is available with limited capacity and a light dinner will be provided. Resource/foster families can also obtain training hours for attending!
